I'm sitting in our bus on the way to Chiang Rai. Patty is downloading tons of information on the provence we are going to visit and the areas where Thailand exports their Jasmine rice, such as Vietnam and Cambodia. She also reminds us that today's national color is pink. As we drive through a town I notice a group of men jumping out of a truck bed--all of them are wearing pink shirts. I start to really pay attention of all the cars, bikes, places and people we pass by and I see lots of pink. It's fascinating to see the spirit of nationalism and unity of the people. It really is amazing to see all the dots of pink as we drive through the many towns.

Sounds like you're having a blast. Can't wait to see your pictures! Pink was one of the colors for us, too, when we were there last year. Or was it yellow? Once you get back let's all dress in the same colors! Fun! Miss you!
